The EACC Texas is proud to welcome Jessica Byerly and the Arlington Economic Development Corporation to the EACC Texas Board of Directors!
Jessica Byerly is an accomplished economic development strategist with more than 20 years of experience advancing city and regional competitiveness, cross-sector collaboration and business development. As Project Manager for the Arlington Economic Development Corporation, she leads foreign direct investment efforts, business retention and expansion initiatives, and community redevelopment projects, while representing Arlington at national and international conferences, and is currently serving as Arlington’s liaison for the Japan-Texas Economic Summit.
Her career spans municipal, regional, and nonprofit leadership roles, including key positions at the Pearland Economic Development Corporation, the Alliance of Community Assistance Ministries, and the Houston-Galveston Area Council, as well as direct chamber of commerce experience with the Greater Houston Partnership and as CEO of the Greater Cleveland (Texas) Chamber of Commerce. Jessica has managed multimillion-dollar redevelopment projects, secured federal and foundation funding, directed disaster recovery coordination during Hurricane Harvey, and produced research that contributed to Houston being named the nation’s #1 Metro for Corporate Expansions and Relocations by Site Selection magazine.
Jessica holds a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Economics from Lamar University. Known for her system-level thinking, diplomatic leadership style, and ability to build durable partnerships across government, industry, and international stakeholders, she brings a strong commitment to strengthening transatlantic business relationships and elevating Texas as a destination for global investment.
She currently lives in Grapevine, Texas with her three fur babies and loves to paint, sing, write, and travel. She has visited 20 countries on five continents, including Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, and Greece.
