EACC Texas Annual General Meeting Welcomes New Leadership for the 2025-2028 Term

The European American Chamber of Commerce (EACC) held its Annual General Meeting on September 4th in Irving, generously hosted by Safran USA, Inc. The evening brought together members and partners to reflect on the past year, elect new leadership, and look ahead to future growth.

New Board and Leadership

A new Board of Directors was elected for the 2025–2028 term, with 16 members in total. Elected Officers leading the EACC Texas Board of Directors, Chairwoman, Michelle Schulz of Schulz Trade Law, Vice-Chair, Dallas, Fabrice Mendez of Sodexo, Vice-Chair, Houston, Manny Schoenhuber of Nelson Mullins LLP, Vice Presidents, Mark Melnick of Safran USA, Inc., Kerry Briard of Dallas International School, Ned Meagher of Carter DeLuca, and Dobrina Ustun of Ustun Law Group PLLC. The EACC would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the Board for their service, and especially to Ruth Baron, who concluded her tenure as Founding Chair of the EACC Texas. Ruth dedicated many hours working alongside EACC President & CEO, Erin McKelvey, to this Chambers’ success over the past five years . This dedication has helped strengthen the Chamber’s mission and transatlantic community.

Guest Speaker: Safran Helicopter Engines

The AGM also featured a keynote address from Thierry Derrien, CEO of Safran Helicopter Engines USA. With his extensive international leadership background across aerospace and defense, Mr. Derrien shared timely insights into new developments at Safran Helicopter Engines, a valued EACC member. His perspective highlighted the strong partnership that French companies have brought to Texas for over 50 years, as well as the exclusive expertise and opportunities to connect directly with transatlantic companies available through the Chamber’s programming across the State of Texas.
