Letter from the new EACC Chair

Esteemed EACC Members,

It is a huge honor to serve as Chairwoman of the European American Chamber of Commerce Texas.  At a time when transatlantic relationships continue to shape global markets, the role of the EACC Texas in fostering meaningful connections between Europe and Texas has never been more important.

As the largest exporting state and second largest importing state in the U.S., Texas is a powerhouse of innovation and trade.  Texas’s dynamic economy not only drives U.S. growth but also provides unmatched opportunities for international collaboration.  From energy to healthcare, our state is uniquely positioned to strengthen the ties between European and American businesses.

In my career, I have had the privilege of working at the intersection of law, trade, and global markets.  This experience has highlighted how important it is to approach challenges with both a broad perspective and a practical, solutions-oriented mindset.  As Chairwoman, I look forward to bringing this outlook to the EACC Texas and working alongside our exceptional members to find new ways of expanding opportunities across the Atlantic.

Most of all, I am grateful to the EACC Texas community for the relationships, insights, and inspiration it provides.  Together, we will continue to grow an organization that not only reflects the vibrancy of our Texas economy but also deepens the bonds with our European partners.

I am excited for the journey ahead and look forward to what we will accomplish together.

Warm regards,

Michelle Schulz
Chairwoman, EACC Texas
