Session 1 – Ethics of New Clients
12:00 – 1:00pm
Session 1 will focus on the ethics of new client engagements, including 1) screening new and existing clients and matters for conflicts of interest; 2) the circumstances under which conflicts may be waived; and 3) the requirements of attorney engagement letters.

Session 3 – In-House Counsel/RFP Process

Session 3’s impressive panel of in-house counsel will consider ways to develop and build the relationship between outside counsel and in-house counsel and how outside counsel can deliver valuable legal services and otherwise add value to the business practices and coals of corporate and institutional clients.

Session 4 – Experiential Learning

Session 4 will present an experiential learning opportunity where DAYL members will have the opportunity to create and present their “elevator pitch” – a brief introduction of themselves to prospective clients and others – and receive valuable feedback from more experienced attorneys.
