SUMMARY:Meet The Netherlands in Texas...Transatlantic Business Mixer
DESCRIPTION:Stef van de Vijver\, Economic Officer\, Netherlands Business Support Office Houston \nwith a Netherlands Economic Update in the State of Texas \nand an introduction of the \nEACC Texas –  Transatlantic Trade Alliance by Michelle Schulz & Antony Francis   \n  \n\n\n\nDid you know that the Netherlands can fit into the State of Texas 16 Times? Small country\, big trade impact! The EACC Texas brought EDC’s\, trade officials\, and industry experts together at The Point Group on March 20th to “Meet the Netherlands” with Stef van de Vijver from the NBSO Texas. Stef shared the Netherlands’ priorities of trade focus in Texas including Water Resilience\, Energy Transition\, Mobility\, Life Sciences\, Tech and Sports and how passionate he is of their role in assisting SME’s to land in Texas. \nAdditionally\, as the EU considers implementation of the Anti-Coercion Instrument (ACI)\, dubbed a “regulatory bazooka” in response to upcoming tariffs on April 2nd\, EACC Texas Board Secretary\, Michelle Schulz of Schulz Trade Law unveiled the EACC Texas Transatlantic Trade Alliance\, co-led by logistics expert Antony Francis\, and Stefan Boehmer\, VP at Korber Supply Chain. This timely taskforce will lead trade discussions and working groups in DFW to educate\, inform\, and answer industry concerns as we keep the transatlantic business lanes flowing. Now more than at any time in recent history\, it is clear that business must keep channels of discussion open. That event will take place on April 7th in Dallas! \nWe were delighted to welcome two new EACC Texas members\, Future Manager World headquartered in Italy\, and Dr Irena Eris Cosmetics from Poland\, and welcome incoming board member\, Steven B. with J.P. Morgan. EACC Board Chair\, Ruth Baron with The Point Group graciously hosted and took guests up to visit their secret speakeasy after the program.
