DESCRIPTION:  \nJoin us for an in-depth analysis of the European economy \nand the newly released Autumn 2023 Economic Forecast.\n\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\nThe US economy has grown faster than the European Union’s for the past five quarters. There are a variety of reasons for the discrepancy in performance between the EU and the US\, including the trade and resulting energy price shock in Europe prompted by Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine; fiscal policy\, and the lingering effects of pandemic era stimulus programs; as well labor market dynamics. The latest forecast shows that the third quarter may have marked the peak of this growth divergence\, as US economic growth accelerated while GDP in Europe held steady.
