On May 9th, we had an amazing Europe Day celebration at Ikea Houston, organized by EACC Texas with the cooperation of the Honorary Consulate of SwedenHouston! The energy was electric as a fantastic crowd gathered to commemorate this special occasion. This event served as a reminder of the longstanding friendship and partnership between Europe and Texas, highlighting the shared values, economic collaborations, and cultural exchanges that have shaped our journey. It was a true celebration of our shared transatlantic spirit!

We were honored to have Fredrik Rabe from Ikea deliver an insightful presentation, allowing us to dive deeper into Ikea’s investment in the US market and their commitment to reducing their carbon footprint, and becoming a more sustainable company.

Additionally, Catarina Mård Löwenadler, the CEO of Digitana, captivated the audience with her speech. Dignitana, a Swedish medical device company, traded on NASDAQ, is renowned for its groundbreaking medical cooling device. This device provides cancer patients with the opportunity to minimize hair loss during chemotherapy, significantly improving their well-being and quality of life.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all members of the Consular Corps and the attendees for their enthusiastic participation and engagement. None of this would have been possible without the invaluable support of our sponsors, Ikea and EACC Texas Member Mercuri Urval. Their support and commitment to our cause have been instrumental in making this Europe Day celebration a resounding success.

Thank you to everyone involved for making this event truly remarkable and memorable. Your presence and support have reaffirmed our belief in the strength and unity of our Transatlantic community.
